The Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University is committed to being a national leader in the battle to overcome cancer.  It is one of two NCI (National Cancer Institutes) designated comprehensive cancer centers in Illinois and one of only 45 in the country.

   WWP (Wounded Warrior Project) was the charity that Alyssa & Robert chose for the favors. They were married last weekend and their wedding favors were our Foil Favors tied (modern style), with navy ribbons and dark raspberry & milk chocolate truffles inside. Each Foil favor contains white shredding inside with the truffles sitting on top. This is why we show the two truffles in front sitting on the white shred. As we said their charity donation went to the Wounded Warriors Project – their slogan is “The greatest casualty is being forgotten.” Best wishes and good luck to Alyssa & Robert a blessed beautiful couple!

   “We were so grateful to find your company since we were searching high and low for wedding favors that our guests wouldn’t just put in their home to collect dust, or eat in two seconds never to be thought of again.  We wanted a gift that was meaningful to us and hopefully equally meaningful to our guests.  As soon as I saw your site and learned that I could have a portion of our purchase go to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), I was set on having these truffles as favors at our wedding.

   Although we have certainly lost many loved ones to this devastating disease, and many of our close friends and family that attended our wedding are strong and resilient survivors of cancer, I had one specific person in mind when I chose your chocolate truffles and the American Cancer Society – my uncle, Ronald Green.  The unexpected and sudden loss of my uncle to cancer just a few short months before our wedding was heartbreaking.  I wish he could have been part of our special day to crack jokes as he loved to do, celebrate a joyous event with our dear friends and extended family, get to know my husband and his family, and even serve as a second videographer (he was known for his home videos – catching every single moment whether we liked it or not:)).  Having those truffles at every place setting gave me some comfort.  He was definitely in my thoughts that day, and I hope he was there in spirit. So, with this gift to our guests we were able to honor all of our friends & family, but especially my Uncle Ron.

   Jenny and Chris chose the Embrace Kids Foundation (www.embracekids.org), for their charity. This charity is new for us and is a very worthwhile cause and one that we are proud to support! Embrace Kids Foundation exists to lighten the burden, maintain normalcy and improve the quality of life for families whose children are facing cancer, sickle cell and other serious health challenges. Embrace Kids addresses the spiritual, emotional and financial needs of patient families in the New Jersey/New York City metropolitan area. Jenny and Chris chose our Dessert wedding favors tied with beautiful petal peach ribbons and contain half amaretto & half raspberry chocolate truffles. Congratulations to Jenny & Chris!!!
