We think this ribbon combination is beautiful – grappa and new chartreuse tied in our Modern style! She included a very thoughtful special mention on her charity card. Best of luck Lynn! The bride’s name is Lynn and her charity wedding favors are directed to the Cancer Research Institute .

The Cancer Research Institute (CRI), was founded in 1953 by Helen Coley Nauts to continue her father’s work, Dr. William B. Coley, who pioneered non-surgical, immune-based treatments for cancer. As CRI grew they brought together the best researchers from different institutions and focused them on the most promising topics. With the implementation of standardized methods for monitoring and data reporting in a free and open forum, CRI facilitated a more efficient approach to discovery that maximizes each participating institution’s intellectual, financial, and physical resources. Today, virtually every major research institution in the world working in immunology and immunotherapy has scientists on staff who have been or are currently being funded by the Cancer Research Institute with fresh talent on the way. These milk chocolate caramel Dessert Favors were for Cassie’s shower. The favors are tied with pretty aqua ribbons which are (many times), substituted for tiffany blue. Her charity is one of our favorites – The American Red Cross. Very classy and yummy too!

As one of the nation’s premier humanitarian organizations, the American Red Cross is dedicated to helping people in need throughout the United States and, in association with other Red Cross networks, throughout the world. They depend on the many generous contributions of time, blood, and money from the American public to support their lifesaving services and programs. The American Red Cross was originally founded in 1881 by Clara Barton. They have gone through many changes over the many years and as we all know have been there when a disaster strikes. The most recent version of their charter, which was adopted in May 2007, restates the traditional purposes of the organization which include giving relief to and serving as a medium of communication between members of the American armed forces and their families and providing national and international disaster relief and mitigation. All our charity cards are pre-printed on one side to say “For This Special Occasion a Donation Has Been Made to…” The reverse side of the card is available for our clients to say something special. “In honor of our family and friends who have been affected by Cancer and Alzheimer’s” are the words that Jaclyn & Ken wrote for their special mention on their charity cards. The donations from the chocolate wedding favors (Boxed Mini’s), went to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Association. Their ribbon colors were burnt sienna & burgundy tied to our Boxed Mini Favors. Best of luck & happy wishes to Jaclyn & Ken!

The charities that our couples choose are very diversified. Arun & Aswathi picked the Akshaya Patra Foundation which provides (among many programs), mid day meals for 1.4 million children in India. Headquartered in Bengaluru, the organization strives to fight issues like hunger and malnutrition in India, by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government schools and government-aided schools. Akshaya Patra Foundation aims not only to fight hunger but also to bring children to school. Their chocolate wedding favors were our Boxed Mini’s with royal blue ribbons tied in our classic style. Congratulations to Arun & Aswathi!!!

We see a lot of donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, but these Dessert wedding favors (half jumbo caramel & half jumbo raspberry truffles), with scarlet ribbons honor our Navy Seals. The Navy Seal Foundation is a great charity, one we are proud to support. The Navy SEAL Foundation provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the naval special warfare community and their families. They provide a comprehensive set of programs specially designed to improve health and welfare, build and enhance resiliency, empower and educate families and provide critical support during times of illness, injury, loss and transition.    Best of luck and thanks for raising awareness for this organization Emily!!!
